The objective of the “Men Being Men” movie series is to allow men an opportunity to connect and fellowship with other men around issues of manhood and fatherhood. The expectation is the dialogue will lead to action and awareness around many issues influenced by the positive leadership of men and fathers to:
• Advocate for the safety and well-being of children through child abuse prevention
• Understand the importance of speaking out against domestic violence and sexual assault against women
• Provide mentorship to men and fathers so they may become better servants to family and community
As an incentive a backpack filled with fatherhood and child safety literature along with the DVD of “Courageous” will be distributed to each participant that registers in advance. In addition to showing the movie, and having discussions, the participants will be asked to join 2NOT1’s effort in promoting awareness around child safety and the importance of fatherhood by taking the pledge to protect children.
The Pledge will take place on Father’s Day at Shelby Park. The goal is to have all the participants who attend the viewing sign up for the pledge. To take the Pledge online click here!

This Men Being Men Movie Series is Fully Funded by a Federal Community Collaboration for Children Prevention Grant via Jefferson Network for Child Safety. A special thanks to all the churches and organizations participating in Men Being Men.
